Our Voice speaks to millions of people world-wide.
Being silent about suffering with Sickle Cell Disease is no longer an option.  Our Voice is founded on a quote by Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.:
"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter."

We have found that children, teenagers, and now the aging all have unique issues that affect their lives.

 Issues include:
  • transition from childhood care to adult (self-managed) care
  • long-term care for aging people
  • services to accommodate the sick - transportation, food delivery - child care
  • affordable medicine
  • adequate medical coverage for treatments (oxygen therapy, bone marrow & stem cell)
  • working sick & losing employment

These issues are being addressed as we (people with Sickle Cell Disease) speak out. There's still much to learn, do and overcome.
